   Platonic Love is a close relationship between two persons in which sexual desire is non-existent or has been suppressed or sublimated. It is non-romatic ie no lots of cuddling, touch, hand holding, sex etc. It often grow from friendship into strong bond.
   It is named after Greek philosopher Plato, though the philosopher never used the term himself. Platonic love as devised by Plato concerns rising through levels of closeness to wisdom and true beauty from carnal attraction to individual bodies to attraction to souls and eventually, union with the truth. This is ancient philosophical interpretation.

        Characteristics Of Platonic Love
1. Platonic Love Encourages Complete Honesty: 
Honesty is the highest form of intimacy and it is openness to someone. Platonic love is fair, it involves sincerity and truthfulness no matter what, being real with yourself, who you are and what you are.
2. Platonic Love Has No Expectations:
"Blessed is he who expect nothing, for he shall never be disappointed"
Platonic love doesn't have expectations to meet from each other. In platonic love you don't expect that you will always get everything you want, no expectations from each other.
3. Platonic Love Respects Boundaries:
Knowing that everyone has thoughts, feelings, plans and dreams. Platonic love doesn't cross boundaries, you have a limit of involvement in each other's life and respect each other's privacy. Platonic love does not force someone to do something, it shows respect and care.
4. Platonic Love is Selfless:
Platonic love is loving someone without looking for something in return, putting the need of the other ahead of your own, being genuine and having proper mindset. In platonic love, you love regardless of your personal needs, you love whole heartly without expecting any personal gain and do everything from your heart.
